Dr. Shawn Nishi serves as a Professor in the UTMB Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine. Her clinical expertise is in Interventional Pulmonary and Quality Improvement and Patient Safety initiatives. She serves as the Medical Director of the Lung Cancer Screening and Lung Nodule Program which is noted as the highest volume screening program in the state. Dr. Nishi has authored numerous publications on lung cancer screening, as well as shared decision-making and outcomes research related to COPD and lung cancer.
