LUNCH 2022-08-11 12:00 – 12:45 Main Room Comparative effectiveness studies in bronchoscopy research: comparing apples to apples

Overview: Limited data is available on novel bronchoscopy platforms. Most studies are retrospective, single-center, use different definitions of diagnostic yield and target widely variable patient populations, hindering comparisons across studies. Comparative effectiveness studies are emerging however, including pragmatic studies, which will allow efficient and timely generation of useful data.
Fabien Maldonado, M.D., MSc, will share his expertise in bronchoscopy research.
