    Dr. Jonathan Casey is a physician-scientist and clinical researcher with an appointment as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Casey’s research focuses on the comparative effectiveness of standard-of-care interventions currently in use in the intensive care unit, with an emphasis on “pragmatic” clinical trial design, where trials are conducted within the framework of routine clinical care. His work has been published in journals such as New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet Respiratory Medicine, and Annals of ATS. He has been recognized with numerous awards for teaching and clinical research at the resident, fellow, and faculty level, and he is supported with granting funding from the NIH.
